Ripple Pearls

Ripple pearls are the new phenomonon of the pearl world...freshwater pearls with a convoluted satin surface mixed with patches of rainbow metallic lustre, all in natural colours and often a gold leaf effect. They appeared first three years ago and have proved to be immensely popular with anyone who loves untreated and big pearls. They come from a hybrid mussel (Hyriopsis Schlegelii x Hyriopsis Cumingii)
