I had heard of faceted pearls but I hadn't come across any before. These are the first I have managed to get into stock.
They are pretty remarkable. These are 7mm to 8mm oval/rice/elliptical pearls and they really do have clear facets somehow. How they are formed I do not know but the facets catch the light and give a flash/sparkle to the pearls, as well as an attractive granular texture to the surface.
The colour is a deep rich cerise and the strands are 40cm long.
