Pearlescence freshwater pearls are sourced from three reliable suppliers in China, and so do the akoya saltwater pearls (indeed much of the akoya pearl jewellery made in Japan is now made with Chinese saltwater pearls)
Where we say that pearls come from a specific farm (Kamoka or Cortez) then we are buying direct from the pearl farm, with no middle man. You are very welcome to find the websites of these farms yourself and check with them as to the authenticity of their pearls.
