I've popped up again, burbling about pearls for The English Manner website ( http://- blog.theenglishmanner.com/author/wendy ) This time the topic is pearls for me. Just to emphasise, a single pearl on a leather lace is a great Valentine's present for your man.

News of the Edison pearl auction last month - the top price paid for one strand of Edison pearls was just over £1/2m. Trade. Yes, one strand! Don't ever look down your nose at freshwater pearls again. Just to remind you - here is our strand of Edisons - bought when they were simply freshwater bead nucleated pearls. Each pearl individually picked out by Wendy in Hong Kong, then drilled, arranged and assembled here at Pearlescence. They are simply stunning pearls http://www.pearlescence.co.uk/produ- ct_info.php/cPath/104_175/products_id/2764
